The Syrian Arab Football Association is the official sponsor of football sport in Syria, and is directly responsible for the Syrian football teams and local clubs participating in the Syrian League with its premier, first, second and third degrees. The Syrian Arab Football Association was founded in 1936. It joined the International Football Association in 1937, and the Asian Football Confederation in 1969. It is one of the oldest football associations in the region.
The Syrian Arab Football Federation organizes local football competitions, in addition to organizing the participation of Syrian teams and clubs internationally, as it supervises 120 clubs participating in football competitions. These clubs are divided into different grades and age groups, starting from the Grass Roots to the adult teams.

He represented the men’s national team from the year 1992 to 1998. One of the most important stations in which he played was the qualifiers of the Asian Cup in the year 1992, and the seventh Arab sports tournament in the same year. World Cup 94 qualifiers and 96 Asian Nations qualifiers. The Eighth Arab Sports Tournament 97 and World Cup Qualifiers 98. After his retirement he trained police officers for some time and then moved to administrative work as a football manager for the club to this day. He won two league titles with Al-shurta as team manager. He worked as a member of the Syrian Football Association and a member of several temporary committees of the association. Member of the Executive Office of the General Sports association in its last session.
